Hi. I got to ask this here because I sense my thread would be moved from the production techniques to the DSP forum anyway.
Have you written software for just yourself? Or just to make music or to get something done quickly?
I'm trying to create the software I like, but my talents are really just on the musical side. So, now it exists, gets features and fixes sometimes, and I'll keep it private software. I'm not yet doing much music with my stuff, and I've learned that I like inspiration much more than I already thought. And I'm not so much into programming like I was thinking all the time. Among the DAWs I've bought is Reason, and I have yet to find a better inspiration to record ideas.
Is it like that for anybody else or am I alone in having approached music production from two sides and sitting on the fence?
