Mobile Apps and Hardware • DFD Sfz player for Android or Raspberry Pi?

I'm trying to sort out whether there is any app for Android or (less cool but still doable) raspberry pi that would let me load sample libraries around the size of the first gen akoustik piano or the scarves electric pianos and will not stream from the disk (thumb drive or SD card in this case). I can do all the configuration etc, but ease of use is key.

I originally figured we could find an old Roland/ EMU/ Yamaha sound module for cheap. These are plentiful in used gear markets but I forgot how bad they sounded until I went and played a few the other day.

It's for my son in his live performing. Ideally I'd just get him kontakt on a cheap laptop but this kid is a laptop murderer. Also a phone/ raspberry pi is far more compact when loading up for shows.

I didn't include iOS in this as I don't think they support external storage devices or added ad card space, but a second hand iPad or iPhone is fine too if it's capable of what I speak of.

Thanks
JJ
