Instruments • Monster synths vs smaller ones? What's your opinion?

I've been an owner of Phase Plant and Zebra for a year, but did not pay much attention to them, but a few month ago started finally playing with them actively. Also a month ago or so I've purchased Falcon 3 which absolutely blew my mind: 20 oscillator types, 100+ fx, modulators, MIDI processing that can be stacked into layers of layers as much as host machine CPU allows

I have plenty of synth plugins (Arturia, NI, Reason, u-he among others) and I like to tweak them, but I started to gravitate to big all mighty synths. The reason is simple: they can do anything these 'smaller' synths can do. Admittedly that power comes at a cost, it's a bit more clicks to achieve the same result, but I'm actively considering getting rid of most other synth and live with 3-5 'monsters' and learning them well.

I don't have analog gear (and never had) therefore I personally don't care if that Falcon (Phase Plants, etc)'s saw sounds like a Moog/Juno or whatever. I've been copying patches between Arturia and Phase Plant, Zebra, Falcon - they sounded pretty similar. Imo in the mix, almost no one will be able to tell what has been used.

I curious what does local crowd prefer (and why) and think about future of monster synth vs smaller ones.
