hi guys,

so overall i know there is not THE ANSWER!

1. i always reference my tracks to some i think are really my taste basswise.
2. i recently made a various genre sampler and this is where i struggled. the DnB tracks were ok for my taste, i wasnt sure at one section though. then i got a techno track, it was ok too. then a rock/pop track which first i thought is also great, by earphones, then my studio monitors and notebook but on a 50 bucks 2.1 logitech subwoofer system it sounded kinda too much, about 3-4 db. then i lowered the subbass 3db but it felt weak on my monitors. so im not sure, on tonal balance control it showed all is well with both versions. other tracks on the logitech system were ok.
3. so if you dont have a professional studio how do you proceed with something like that?
4. when do you know the subbass volume is enough? (excluding when the bass is overshadowing the melodies and just sounding mufffled).

thx
