So, I know what I want in terms of an audio interface. I am currently recording my acoustic tracks on an old Roland VS-880EX (hardware) DAW I bought back in the late 90s. I then bring those tracks over to my PC and mix them in Waveform.
But...
I want start recording directly into Waveform, and am intending to use an audio interface for that purpose. That being said, the PC makes its own noise. Even if it ain't much, the whole point of wanting to switch over is to eliminate as much noise as possible (as the built-in preamps on the 880 are plain bad, and the FetHead gain booster I bought did little too improve the noise issues).
So, how do you deal with recording in the same room as your PC?
